How did you get into derby? I did a stint working downstate in Springfield, where it turns out there is precious little to do socially. So when I saw a flyer in my office advertising a roller derby fresh meat skate I jumped at opportunity. A few weeks and some grievous bodily harm later, and I was hooked!

Why The Outfit? I had the pleasure of playing against the ladies of the Shakedown in 2013, and they were an absolute blast, both on and off the rink. It was clear from watching the team together that their values - their passion for derby, commitment to their teammates, and their involvement in their community – were well aligned with my own. So when I found out that my job was transferring me up to the Chicago office, there was really no question of what team I wanted to join. I started practicing with the Outfit about a week after I moved, and the rest is history.
