How did you get into derby? I had far off dreams of playing derby that started when I moved to Chicago over 5 years ago and discovered the sport. But besides a few skating parties as a kid, I didn’t strap on skates until January 2012. Those crazy dreams were able to come to fruition because I took some skating fitness classes (Thanks Derby Lite!) that made me at least able to get around on skates, even if I wasn’t quite prepared for those hard hits and fancy footwork at the start! I chose the Outfit because even from afar, without knowing anyone on the team, I knew this family was a good fit. I was right! <3

Did you play other sports previously? I wasn’t very active until just a few years ago! I decided to ride a century (100 miles by bike in one day!) and trained all summer to make it happen. After I completed that I knew I could do whatever I put my mind to, so I put my mind to derby!

If you were a gangster, what would your calling card be? A broken record.
