Q: What advice do you have for aspiring derby gals? A: Never give up! Roller derby is a sport that takes a lot of courage, skill, and hard work. The more you put into it, the more you'll get out of it.
Q: What is the most important thing you have learned from being a member of the Chicago Outfit? A: I've learned that I can do anything that I truly put my mind to. I know that sounds cliché but I was always afraid to push myself, and being on the Outfit has changed all that.
Q: What do you do when you are not playing roller derby? A: I am at home making gluten free food with my girlfriend and/or dancing.
Q: How has being part of a team impacted your life on and off the track? A: I've played on a couple of teams growing up, and none of them are anything like the Outfit. Because of the Outfit, I have become a confident athlete and coach, something I never really thought I would end up being. Also, I have made the most amazing friends I could ever ask for.
Q: What is your favorite individual derby moment to date? A: I have shared so many amazing moments with The Chicago Outfit...it’s very difficult to just pick one. I’d have to say my favorite derby moment on the track would be when we won 5th place in the 2011 regional tournament. It was truly amazing. All my teammates were crying and chanting and raising the roof! It was certainly an epic moment in Outfit history. My favorite derby moment off the track is probably when a whole bunch of us slept over at Gaygan's brother’s house in Nashville after we played the Nashville Rollergirls.
